Tigers Expected To Hold Onto Jonathan Schoop
3 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop is unlikely to be moved before the July 30 trade deadline. The interest in Schoop has been limited enough that the Tigers don't believe it's worth it to deal him. Schoop is making $4.5 million this season and has put up a .791 OPS with 17 home runs and 61 RBI. There isn't a huge trade market for second basemen and many contenders have already acquired one. It sounds like the Tigers will hold onto Schoop through the rest of the season.
