3 years agoThe Minnesota Twins have a deal in place to acquire starting pitcher John Gant from the St. Louis Cardinals, according to Robert Murray of FanSided. Over 25 games between the bullpen and starting rotation this year, Gant is 4-6 with a 3.42 ERA, 1.572 WHIP and 16.2 percent strikeout rate over 76 1/3 innings of work. The strikeout rate is a career-low for Gant, but otherwise he should figure to be a decent replacement to fill the spot in the rotation that was vacated by Jose Berrios.
