3 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles on Friday traded shortstop Freddy Galvis (quadriceps) to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for pitching prospect Tyler Burch. Galvis played the first six seasons of his MLB career in Philadelphia, hitting .245/.287/.372 during that stint. The 31-year-old switch-hitter was slashing .249/.306/.414 with nine home runs in 72 games prior to suffering a quadriceps injury that has sidelined him for about a month. Expect Galvis to get some rehab games in before slotting back into Philadelphia's lineup.--Chelena Goldman
