3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie outfielder Bryan De La Cruz will get the start in right field for Friday's game against the New York Yankees. De La Cruz was acquired from the Houston Astros in exchange for former Marlins closer Yimi Garcia. De La Cruz is a 24-year-old who was hitting .324/.362/.518 in 293 Triple-A plate appearances in the Houston system. The Marlins have plenty of room in the outfield now that Adam Duvall and Starling Marte have been traded. De La Cruz is worth keeping an eye on in deeper mixed leagues, as he's certainly shown that he can hit in Triple-A, but he was in a very hitter-friendly league.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
