Pablo Sandoval Released From Indians Hours After Being Acquired
3 years agoThe Cleveland Indians on Friday released third baseman Pablo Sandoval just a few hours after he was acquired from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for outfielder Eddie Rosario. The 34-year-old infielder struggled at the plate for Atlanta this year, hitting .178/.302/.342 on the season with four home runs and 11 RBI over 73 at-bats. Once a tried-and-true slugger and member of the San Francisco Giants' three World Series championship teams, Sandoval just doesn't carry the fantasy value he once did.
