3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman/outfielder Pavin Smith went to the COVID-19 injured list on Friday. While Smith hasn't tested positive for the Coronavirus, unlike teammates Noe Ramirez and Stuart Fairchild, who are both symptomatic, he did fall victim to contact tracing. It's unknown how long the 25-year-old will be out, but it's unfortunate news, primarily since he was batting .269, with 93 hits, 47 runs, and 32 RBI before the designation. Christian Walker will likely fill the void moving ahead, although he isn't a viable fantasy option by any means.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
