3 years agoBoston Red Sox infielder Jonathan Arauz was activated from the taxi squad Friday to start at third base against the Tampa Bay Rays for the injured Rafael Devers. He batted ninth, and went 2-for-3 with two singles and a walk. With Michael Chavis moving on to Pittsburgh, Arauz has an opportunity to stick with the big club in the short term, though his time may come to an end shortly if Rafael Devers' injury is as minor as manager Alex Cora would have fans believe.
