3 years agoColorado Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon went 3-for-3 with a grand slam, two runs scored, and two walks in a 9-4 win over the Padres on Friday. McMahon had a monster day at the plate, reaching base five times in the lopsided win over San Diego. He put the Rockies on the board in a major way in the top of the first inning when he swatted a grand slam off of Ryan Weathers. This was McMahon's first homer since June 15 so he was long overdue. Overall, the 26-year-old slugger is slashing .264/.334/.475 with 17 home runs, 55 RBI, and four stolen bases over 341 at-bats on the year. Despite the power drought, he's on pace to set a new career-high in home runs this season; 24 was the previous mark set back in 2019.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
