Joey Votto Homers Again
3 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto continued his impressive power surge in a 6-2 win over the New York Mets on Friday. Votto went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk. The veteran first baseman has now homered in seven straight games, making him just the eighth player in MLB history to accomplish such a feat. Votto has nine homers and 15 RBI over his past seven games, while posting a .385 average over that same span. Overall, he's slashing .278/.374/.563 with 21 homers, 40 runs, 59 RBI, and a steal. Votto needs to stay locked into fantasy lineups while he's red-hot at the plate.
