3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Kyle Schwarber (hamstring) could move to first base, per general manager Chaim Bloom. "Simply put, we think Kyle Schwarber is one of the most impactful hitters that changed hands this week," said Bloom. "We had identified going into this week that a left-handed bat was going to be a target of ours and a huge addition to our lineup. We already feel we have a really good lineup. Kyle, once he's healthy, has a chance to be as productive as anybody in the lineup, and we're really excited for what he's going to mean beyond what he produces on the field." Schwarber was traded to the Boston Red Sox on Thursday, and the outfielder could shift to first base to keep his potent bat in the lineup. The 28-year-old is an estimated 10-to-14 days away from being activated from the injured list. He's been sidelined since July 2 with a right hamstring strain. Schwarber is slashing .253/.340/.570 with 25 home runs and 53 RBI over 72 games. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Schwarber as the former Chicago Cub is expected to be activated from the IL soon.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
