3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez is not in the starting lineup on Saturday afternoon against the Giants. This is just a day off for Alvarez, thanks largely to the fact that the Astros are without the designated hitter while playing in San Francisco. Alvarez got the start in left field on Friday, but now will take a seat on the bench while Michael Brantley will take over in left on Saturday and is batting third against the Giants. Managers should expect Alvarez to continue to pop in and out of the lineup throughout this weekend's series in San Francisco, and the Astros' next series on the road against the Dodgers.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
