3 years agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two strikeouts in a 5-3 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday. Rodgers swatted his ninth home run of the season in the top of the third inning off Yu Darvish to push Colorado's lead to 2-0. It was his only hit of the ball game but it was his fourth homer in the last seven games. He's gone 10-for-30 (.333/.375/.733) over that span and driven in six runs as well. The 24-year-old infielder is now slashing .269/.333/.473 with nine home runs and 26 RBI over 182 at-bats. He's an intriguing fantasy option down the stretch as he seems to have found his power stroke and is logging every day at-bats.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
