Max Schrock Picks Up Five Hits On Sunday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Max Schrock turned in an excellent outing in a 7-1 win over the New York Mets on Sunday. Schrock went 5-for-5 with a homer, three runs, and two RBI in the win. The 26-year-old filled in for Joey Votto on Sunday and he did his best Votto impersonation after the latter had an eight-game homer streak snapped on Saturday and was given the day off on Sunday. Schrock is now hitting .333 with two homers, six runs, and seven RBI over 42 at-bats in 2021. He has been on fire when he gets a chance to play, hitting .545 over his past seven games.
