Erick Fedde Earns Quality Start Sunday
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Erick Fedde earned a quality start against the Chicago Cubs Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk in six innings. He struck out eight batters. All the damage came off the bat of Rafael Ortega, as Fedde yielded both a two-run and a solo shot to the outfielder. Fedde now has a 5.01 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with 76 strikeouts in 82 2/3 innings on the year. He isn't a great fantasy asset, but he's worth using in strong matchups and two-start weeks.
