3 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment later this week, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Longoria has been sidelined since the beginning of June with a left shoulder sprain, and prior to then he was slashing .280/.376/.516 with nine homers, one steal, 30 RBI and 28 runs scored over 50 games. He's down to 20 percent rostered currently, and may be worth considering as an IL stash for managers needing help at corner infield.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
