Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Slugs Homer On Monday
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swatted a two-run homer during Monday's 5-2 extra-inning loss to the Indians on Monday. His line-drive missile to left came off the bat at a whopping 115.2 MPH for his first home run of the season in front of hometown fans at the Rogers Centre. The former top prospect is now up to 34 HR, 82 runs, 85 RBI, and a .328/.423/.65 slash line through 102 games played, which are viable MVP numbers in any given season. It'll be a two-horse race down the stretch between Guerrero and Shohei Ohtani for the AL title and managers should enjoy the ride regardless of the outcome.
