Pete Alonso Hits Another Homer Monday
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso continued his hot second half Monday, going 2-for-5 with a solo home run against the Miami Marlins. The solo shot came off of newly acquired Marlins starter Jesus Luzardo. Alonso now has 24 homers on the season, with seven of those coming in his last 15 games. He's raised his OPS to .839 in 344 at-bats this year. Alonso has a reputation as one of the most fearsome bats out there, and he's delivering on that promise lately. Fantasy managers can enjoy the ride as he carries them into playoff position.
