3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer (forearm) was removed from Sunday's rehab start with Triple-A Durham due to hip soreness. The 32-year-old allowed three unearned runs on two hits and no walks across one inning before exiting after 31 pitches. He was expected to throw around 75 pitches on Sunday but was removed from the contest due to left hip soreness. According to the team, the move was precautionary as Archer couldn't get his footing on the mound. Archer hasn't pitched since April 10 due to forearm tightness and remains day-to-day. The former Pittsburgh Pirate will most likely need one more rehab start before being activated from the 60-day injured list.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
