Brandon Marsh Collects Double In Tuesday's Win
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels center fielder Brandon Marsh went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, and a run scored in Tuesday's 11-3 rout of the Texas Rangers. It was a rare positive for Marsh in an underwhelming rookie season. He's hitting .167 with a .229 slugging, no home runs, two RBI, four runs, and one stolen base in 15 games. He swung the bat much better in Triple-A this season, slashing .255/.364/.468 with three home runs across 24 games. Marsh doesn't seem to be in danger of losing playing time with Adam Eaton and Justin Upton platooning. But with Mike Trout (calf) expected to be back at some point this year, he eventually may not have an everyday spot in the outfield if he can't improve. He has more relevance in dynasty formats, but fantasy managers who scooped him up in redraft leagues can wait and see if his offense comes around. However, he shouldn't be started and can safely be dropped if he begins to lose playing time.
