Elias Diaz Swats A Grand Slam On Tuesday
3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a double, and three runs scored in a 13-6 win over the Cubs on Tuesday. Diaz staked the Rockies an early 4-1 lead with a grand slam off Zach Davies in the bottom of the second inning. He knocked a single and a double and scored two more times in the contest as well. The 30-year-old backstop has homered three times in the last seven games and is up to 12 bombs on the season. He's slashing .222/.290/.438 with 12 home runs, 27 RBI, and 29 runs scored over 203 at-bats. He's a better option for Colorado than Dom Nunez but he's just a two-catcher or deep NL-only player in fantasy.
