Tyler Mahle Allows Fours Runs In No-Decision
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle allowed four runs over five innings in a 7-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Mahle struck out five and walked two, with the big blow coming in the form of a three-run homer off of Mitch Garver's bat. The veteran hurler now has an 8-3 record, 3.86 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 138 strikeouts over 116 2/3 innings of work. Mahle got off to an excellent start this season but he hasn't been quite as sharp of late, posting a 4.46 ERA over his past seven starts. He will look to pick up his ninth win next time through the rotation when he faces off against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
