3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Heath Hembree allowed three runs in 2/3 of an inning in a 7-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Hembree struck out two and walked two in the outing. He was called upon in the ninth inning to protect a 5-4 lead but instead walked the first two batters he faced and then served up a three-run homer to Jorge Polanco. Hembree was charged with the loss and a blown save in the game. Overall, Hembree has a 2-6 record, 5.40 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, eight saves, two blown saves, and 63 strikeouts over 38 1/3 innings of work. Hembree could be losing his grip on the ninth-inning role considering he's allowed at least an earned run in four straight appearances.--Matt T - RotoBaller
