Alcides Escobar Returns To Lineup Wednesday
3 years agoWashington Nationals infielder Alcides Escobar returned to the starting lineup Wednesday, batting second and playing shortstop. He had missed the previous for games with a swollen right wrist. He went 0-for-3 with a walk in his first game back against the Philadelphia Phillies. Though he appears to have been displaced by Victor Robles at the top of the lineup, Escobar will retain plenty of deep-league value if he bats second in front of Juan Soto and Josh Bell. He already has managed 15 runs scored in just 24 games.
