Jarren Duran Not Starting On Thursday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran isn't in the team's lineup for a Thursday contest against the Detroit Tigers and left-handed starter Tarik Skubal. Duran is batting .180 with a .208 on-base percentage, two home runs, and a stolen base in 53 plate appearances so far this season. Enrique Hernandez has moved to center field in Duran's place and will bat leadoff. Marwin Gonzalez is starting at second base and hitting ninth. Considering Hernandez starts most days for Boston, this is essentially Gonzalez replacing Duran in the lineup. The 32-year-old is batting .202 with a .281 on-base percentage, two home runs, and three stolen bases in 250 plate appearances this season.
