3 years agoChicago Cubs infielder Nico Hoerner (oblique) participated in baseball activities on Thursday. He's been sidelined since last Wednesday with a right oblique strain. The 24-year-old is "still ways off from a return" but is trending in the right direction. Hoerner came off the bench and slashed .313/.388/.388 with three steals, 14 RBI, and 13 runs scored before landing on the injured list. David Bote will continue to handle second-base duties while Hoerner is sidelined. Bote is hitting .201 with six homers and 28 RBI this season and is mainly an option in NL-Only league formats.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
