Ross Stripling Shuts Down Indians
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling tossed six-scoreless innings on Thursday as his club defeated the Indians 3-0. The right-hander allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out six batters in the 98-pitch effort, improving his record to 5-6 on the year. Stripling has strung together three-straight solid outings, and if not for a few blowup starts this season, he'd have a much more respectable ERA than what his current 4.43 mark suggests. The 31-year-old also holds a respectable 91/27 K/BB through 91 1/3 IP on the year as he looks ahead to his next start versus the Angels.
