3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Alex Reyes had another blow up outing in Thursday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Reyes did not record an out but allowed three runs on four walks, also allowing an inherited runner to score. Reyes simply couldn't throw strikes, tossing 21 pitches, only four strikes. He also hit a batter to make for a total of five base runners in his zero-out performance. Reyes has now walked 42 batters in 48 2/3 innings and has an ugly 1.38 WHIP. He's still got a strong hold on the closer's role though, as he's only blown one save in his entire career. Thursday's disaster ballooned his ERA to 2.40; it was 1.85 before he entered the game.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
