Joey Votto Hits Three-Run Homer Vs. Pirates
3 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto had a streak of seven consecutive games with a homer snapped last week. He will look to start a new streak after he went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in a 7-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. Votto connected with a second-inning pitch from Wil Crowe on Thursday to give the Reds a 7-0 lead. The veteran first baseman has been productive in the power department this season, slashing .273/.367/.556 with 22 homers, 42 runs, 64 RBI, and a steal over 286 at-bats. Votto is hitting .368 with 11 homers and 24 RBI over his past 15 games, making him a must-start in most fantasy leagues going forward.
