Chase Claypool Plays Into Second Quarter, Avoids Injury Scare
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool caught three passes for 62 yards in a 16-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday. Claypool showed his explosiveness on a 45-yard catch in the second quarter and wound up leading Pittsburgh in receiving. He provided a scare for the fantasy community as he landed on the ball following his 45-yard catch and was slow getting up. He ended up walking off of the field with trainers and is expected to be fine after getting the wind knocked out of him. Why he was still in the game in the second quarter is anybody's guess, but it is safe to assume that the Steelers will be more careful with him over their next few preseason games. Claypool is looking like a quality WR2 for fantasy this year.
