3 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Alex Avila (calves) is expected to join the team on the road this weekend while they play the Atlanta Braves, Washington Post writer Jesse Dougherty reported on Friday. Avila has been sidelined with bilateral calf strains since early July and could still need more time to work out with the team before being activated from the injured list. While the Nats will be happy to have Avila back behind the dish, fantasy managers should steer clear of him since he's only hitting .167/.345/.288 on the season.--Chelena Goldman
