Eloy Jimenez Pinch Ran For In Sixth
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez was pulled in the sixth inning for pinch-runner Brian Goodwin during Friday's 8-6 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Manager Tony La Russa said that there's nothing wrong with Jimenez, but he didn't want him sprinting on the basepaths. Before his exit, he was 1-for-3 with a double. Jimenez is expected to start tomorrow's game. After missing most of the year with a groin injury, he's slashed .160/.192/.360 with one home run in seven games. Fantasy managers were excited to see Jimenez when he returned but will need to be patient until he finds his groove.
