3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been enjoying an excellent training camp so far. Entering his eighth season, Evans feels this is his best training camp yet, a statement that certainly passes the eye test, given the number of times the big-bodied wideout has connected with Tom Brady during camp, particularly in the red zone and on back-shoulder throws. The 27-year-old only just squeaked out a 1,000-yard season last year but was a touchdown magnet, hauling in a career-high 13 scores while placing second in the league in targets inside the 10-yard line. Another 13-touchdown season may not be in the cards, though it's reasonable to expect the Brady-Evans connection to continue to be a strong one, particularly in scoring situations. Evans won't be a target hog in the crowded Buccaneers' offense but should be efficient enough again to make for a fine WR2 in 2021.--Tim Capurso
