3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo struggled in his second Marlins start on Saturday against the Colorado Rockies. Luzardo lasted just 4 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and four walks, striking out just two. Luzardo clearly has electric stuff, but his control has been a huge issue, as too many of his pitches either miss the zone entirely or split the plate as far too hittable pitches. He now gets to work with the Marlins coaching staff, who have been excellent at developing pitchers. Luzardo's ceiling is sky high, but he's too much of a risk to be rostered in redraft leagues this season.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
