3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson reached base four times in Saturday's loss to the Colorado Rockies. Brinson went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a single, and a walk. He scored a run in the game as well. Brinson has been hitting much better since his most recent call up and has been getting consistent playing time after the Marlins traded two of their outfielders before the trade deadline. Brinson is up to a .252 batting average and a .718 OPS. He's always had the upside but he'd never been able to put it together. Maybe this is Brinson finally hitting the ball the way he was always expected to. The classic post-hype prospect is starting to be worth some consideration in mixed leagues.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
