Kyle Schwarber Lowers Activity Level
3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Kyle Schwarber (hamstring) has had a minor setback, according to the Athletic. He had ramped up with running and fielding while the team was in Detroit but felt tightness in his left groin, so the Red Sox have lowered his activity level as a precaution. Schwarber could move to first base to keep his potent bat in the lineup when he returns, general manager Chaim Bloom has said. The 28-year-old Schwarber has been sidelined since July 2 with a right hamstring strain. He is slashing .253/.340/.570 with 25 home runs and 53 RBI over 72 games. Fantasy managers should continue to stash him but monitor for further developments.
