Kyle Freeland Grabs The Win On Sunday
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland earned the win on Sunday when he allowed four runs on seven hits with one walk and six strikeouts over five innings in a 13-8 win over the Marlins. Freeland allowed an RBI single in the first inning before settling in over the next three innings. He didn't allow another run until the fifth when he surrendered a pair of RBI doubles to Jesus Aguilar and Lewis Brinson, respectively. Luckily for Freeland, the Rockies provided plenty of run support so he was able to secure his third win of the season. He now owns a 4.65 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 57:20 K/BB ratio over 71 2/3 innings (14 starts). He'll square off against the Giants on the road in his next turn and could be streamed in that game.
