3 years agoBoston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez returned to the lineup Sunday after missing one game with COVID-like symptoms, and the rest seemed to do him good as he went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI, and two runs scored. Despite having struggled over the last several weeks, Martinez now finds himself with hits in eight of his last 21 at-bats. He's only homered once since July 21, but this performance is surely encouraging to fantasy managers who can in part trace their success back to his strong season.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
