Saquon Barkley Activated From PUP, Returns To Practice
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee) was officially activated from the Physically Unable to Perform List Monday. He will participate in his first training camp practice on Monday afternoon. It will be his first practice since suffering an ACL tear in September. The 24-year-old will continue to ramp up his activity and is targeting a Week 1 return. Barkley reportedly has looked good in his rehab work and has made many strides in his recovery. "Saquon will do mostly individual drills the first few days as he continues to build up," said head coach Joe Judge. "This doesn't change anything with Saquon's timetable to return to games." The former second overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft has an ADP of 6.0, but recently the number has dipped since it was reported that Barkley would most "likely" return by Week 3. Barkley has the upside to finish as a top-5 fantasy running back and is trending in the right direction to be on the field in Week 1.
