3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez (shoulder) will throw a 30-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday, according to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com. Lopez has been out of action since the All-Star break with a rotator cuff strain, and had recently begun playing catch. Prior to this injury, Lopez was in the midst of a career-year as he was 5-5 with a 3.03 ERA, 1.089 WHIP and 27.1 percent strikeout rate over 101 innings of work. He's still probably a couple weeks away from a return at this point, but it's good to see positive progress with his recovery.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
