3 years agoSeattle Mariners pitcher Justus Sheffield (forearm) threw a 35-pitch simulated game on Tuesday, and will go on a rehab assignment this weekend, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Sheffield has been sidelined since the beginning of July with a left flexor strain, but prior to then he had gone 5-8 with a 6.48 ERA, 1.778 WHIP and 16.9 percent strikeout rate over 73 2/3 innings of work. There really isn't a ton of upside with Sheffield currently, so even when healthy he can be left on the waiver wire in the majority of formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
