Ji-Man Choi Dealing With Hamstring Soreness
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi (hamstring) exited Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Boston Red Sox with hamstring soreness. He reportedly suffered the injury after a pinch-hit RBI double in the seventh inning. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time, and Choi is considered day-to-day. Yandy Diaz will handle first base duties while Choi is sidelined. Diaz is slashing .252/.360/.369 with eight home runs, 39 RBI, and 46 runs scored across 392 plate appearances in 2021. The 30-year-old remains a strong option in OBP and deep-league formats.
