J.T. Realmuto Passes Concussion Tests, Available On Thursday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (head) passed his concussion tests and will not be placed on the injured list, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Realmuto was removed from Wednesday's game after taking a foul tip off the mask. The All-Star catcher was held out of the lineup for Thursday's day game, however, he is available if needed and should be back in the lineup Friday against the Reds. Realmuto has been one of the best catchers in baseball with a .268 batting average, a .804 OPS, 13 homers, seven steals, and 52 RBI, which ranks second among all backstops. Realmuto and his fantasy managers dodged a bullet here and he can be left in fantasy lineups versus Cincinnati this weekend.
