Wade LeBlanc Exits Thursday's Game
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc left Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates with what was described as left elbow pain, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports. Before his departure, he completed two innings, surrendering three earned runs and a walk while collecting one strikeout. LeBlanc has put together some good starts for the Cardinals after moving to the rotation on June 28, pitching to a 2.94 ERA in his last seven starts. For the year, he has a 4.41 ERA, 29 strikeouts, and 17 BB over 49 IP. It's unclear how serious his injury is, but hopefully, he can get back out on the mound soon.
