Matthew Boyd Completes Rehab Start
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (arm, neck) threw two scoreless innings in his first rehab start since being placed on the injured list back on June 15. Boyd was having a bounce-back year after a horrendous 2020, posting a 3.44 ERA, 18.8 K%, 6.4 BB%, and six home runs in 70.2 innings. There is still no word on when Boyd will be back, but it's a step in the right direction. It's okay to stash Boyd on the IL if there's room, but there's no harm in dropping him for a more exciting player.
