3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo could resume baseball activities Monday, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. Manager Aaron Boone said that Rizzo is feeling a lot better, noting that the former Cub is scheduled for a cardiac workup on Monday- during which he may also participate in some baseball activities. Rizzo tested positive for the virus about a week ago, though he seems to be on the right track, as Boone also noted that he didn't think the veteran would require much time to build back up. Rizzo has been excellent since coming to the Bronx, slashing .281/.400/.563 with three home runs, six RBI, and eight runs scored in nine games played. If his first several games were any indication, he is poised to be a strong fantasy first baseman the rest of the way for New York.--Tim Capurso
