3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Ben Gamel (hamstring) was activated from the injured list and is in the starting lineup on Sunday, according to Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Gamel only needed the minimum stay on the injured list while dealing with a right hamstring strain, and prior to the injury he had been one of the hottest hitters in the game, slashing .316/.407/.500 with four home runs, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored over his last 30 games. Gamel is getting the start in left field and will bat leadoff against Milwaukee starter Eric Lauer.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
