Drew Lock Leads Broncos To Blowout Win
3 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock completed five of his seven attempts for 151 yards and two touchdowns during the Broncos 33-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Lock took first-team snaps over quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and capitalized on that opportunity. The Broncos third-year quarterback has struggled thus far during his career with a 79.1 quarterback rating but showed a glimmer of hope in his first preseason game of 2021. He connected with wide receiver KJ Hamler for an 80-yard touchdown and was efficient for the entire game, with 21.6 yards per attempt. However, until Lock shows something in the regular season, there's little reason to believe he's made reliable improvements. Still, the pieces around make him a viable streamer in Superflex leagues.
