La'Mical Perine Sees Heavy Workload
3 years agoNew York Jets running back La'Mical Perine get plenty of chances during Saturday's preseason matchup with the New York Giants. Perine saw 12 carries, but managed only 30 yards on the ground. He did rush for a touchdown, but that won't change the fact he averaged 2.7 yards per carry. Clearly, the Jets wanted to see what they have in Perine and this wasn't a good sign. Ty Johnson and rookie Michael Carter didn't play well either, but this won't help Perine's stock. He is currently projected to be the No. 2 back in New York, but fantasy managers shouldn't count on Perine having a significant role. The Jets have plenty of options and the depth chart can significantly change before the regular season begins.
