Jared Goff Still Trying To Get Comfortable
3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is experiencing a steep learning curve on his new team after their first preseason game. The Lions were terrible on their first drive and Goff nearly threw an awful interception on the very first drop back. But the unit rebounded with a strong, yet methodical, 18-play drive to set up a field goal. Goff knows this may take some time. "You don't want to come out and have one drive like that, but it's the preseason and we're still figuring things out a little bit," Goff said. "But the second drive is what we want it to look like — making plays down the field, guys getting open, I was able to throw some good balls, and we were making plays." The former Rams quarterback still is working to build chemistry with new receivers like Tyrell Williams and Breshad Perriman.
