3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela (hamstring) has started running at 80-percent and is expected to start hitting and taking ground balls on Tuesday, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reported on Monday. Urshela previously suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring strain but could possibly start a rehab assignment by the end of the week. The 29-year-old was hitting .274/.315/.439 with 11 home runs, 41 RBI, and 32 runs scored on 85 hits this season prior to injury. Utility man Rougned Odor will fill in at third base and bat sixth on Monday against Jose Suarez and the Los Angeles Angels, one day after going 2-for-5 at the plate with a two-run home run against the Chicago White Sox.
